Prayer that encourages one another daily

Accountability. Seems like a good idea in theory, like diet and exercise, but many of us don’t want that level of discipline. But if you had a coach or team to encourage you, it would be different. You wouldn’t want to let them down.

The discipline of prayer is like that. When we join together in prayer, or pray for one another, we look for encouragement that comes from sharing in Christ, if we indeed hold fast to the confession of our faith. This is a daily discipline and in fact, a work of the Holy Spirit who gives us the words to pray according to Romans 8:26.

Sam Midgett of First Baptist Concord explains what this looks like in the context of Hebrews 3:12-14::

He closes with prayer, thanking God that “going through the Christian life and walking with [Him] is not something we do alone. It is something we do in fellowship and community, and that’s what church is really about. It’s about the body of [believers in Christ] coming together [by loving, supporting, encouraging and pushing] each other in our faith as we all seek to love [God more and follow Him].” He closes by praying “that we would be looking for ways to encourage, challenge, and hold accountable each other in our faith.”

If there is any way we can be encouraging you in your faith , please do not hesitate to get in touch. We’re all in this together, encouraging one another daily through the power of prayer.
